Meet the bloggers of CTA Concerns:
Gia Donofrio is currently studying for her bachelor’s degree in
communications at the University of Illinois at Chicago. She is very
grateful to be a student at UIC because it’s in the middle of a beautiful city with endless opportunities. Some of her hobbies include traveling, working out, reading, cooking and simply just hanging out with her family, friends and dogs.
Priscilla Martinez, 21, is a Marketing major with a minor in Communications. She would like to get into the Marketing Communications field. Reading, shopping, cooking, and food are a few of her interests. She is currently doing small Marketing projects for a food truck company and for a Teaching English as a Foreign Language company.
Calvin Nichols, a 20 year old Evanston, IL native, is on a rise to the top. Graduating from Evanston Township High School in 2009, he is currently a junior at UIC majoring in Communication. A passionate music addict, he is currently a DJ on UIC Radio and hopes to take on a career in radio or television. Having interned at 107.5 WGCI under UB Rodriguez, Calvin is already taking strides towards his dreams. With plans to minor in Moving Image Arts, Calvin is working toward gaining experience in a wide variety of fields.
Diana Park is a senior at UIC majoring in English and minoring in Communication. Her interests are shopping, writing, film, and playing with her adorable shih tzu puppy. Her future plans are to teach English abroad and work in Public Relations.
Ashley Prete is the public relations chair for the Collegiate Panhellenic Council at UIC as well as the Membership Recruitment Chair for her sorority. Phi Sigma Sigma. Her hometown is Downers Grove, IL.
Yaxal Sobrevilla is a sophomore at UIC majoring in Communication and minoring in International Studies. On campus, she is the treasurer for Mexican Students De Aztlan and interns off campus at Mujeres Latinas En Accion. She enjoys writing, watching movies, and playing with her two little cousins.
Amber Smith is currently in her third year at the University of Illinois at Chicago. She is in the process of changing her major to Communication after about a year and a half of being an Architecture major. She is from Chicago and graduated from King College Prep High School. In the future, she would love to work in the field of Communications along the lines of Public Relations or Radio Broadcasting.
